About me
I’m taking a break from my marketing career to write fantasy. This is the story of choosing joy over productivity and what happened next.

Meet the author
Five years ago, I had a pile of business books on my bedside table that I was never going to finish. I used to love reading, but somewhere along the way it had turned into a chore.
This year, I’m on track to read 100+ books, and I’ve rediscovered what I lost: reading for pure joy.
The unlock for me was this genre of “romantasy” (I kind of hate that label). It’s fantasy that centers women, friendship, love, found family. Stories that transport you instead of lecturing at you. Books that make you stay up too late because you just have to turn the page.
I’ve spent 15+ years leading B2B marketing teams, building new categories, and crafting narratives that move markets. I’ve written dozens of white papers and strategy docs, but safe to say none of them kept folks reading all night for the joy of it.
Now I’m writing my own fantasy novel and sharing what I learn about storytelling, book marketing, and the radical act of reading for fun.
About the book I'm writing
Here’s the working concept for my book-in-progress…
The Girl Who Stopped Making Herself Small
Everything you know about good and evil is wrong. The gods are dead. Religious cults chase their own agenda. History is written by the people who survive, and the monsters aren’t what they seem.
When Talent finally bets on herself and joins an expedition to hunt fae artifacts, she must navigate ancient conspiracies, underground music scenes, and desires that make her burn. What she finds: brooding love interests with impossible secrets, a queer monster slayer battling her own demons, and the radical truth that friendship and desire aren’t luxuries—they’re survival.
Perfect escapist fiction where found family meets frontier justice, romance burns slowly beneath impossible odds, and choosing joy is the ultimate rebellion.
